Sixty Year 6 pupils from Gladstone Road were invited to Scarborough Sixth Form College for a day of 'mini olympic' activities.

The Scarborough Sixth Form College sports presentation evening, organised and run by the College’s upper sixth Sport BTEC groups, took place on Wednesday 25 April at the Anglers Club in Scarborough. The BTEC students were thrilled to have former Scarborough FC and current Leyton Orient Manager, Russell Slade, attending to
give out the awards to the winners. The event celebrated the success of both the sport in College and the individual achievements. [more]

Throughout the opening week of The Hub the themes are local community history and popular culture in years gone by – tying in with Local Community History month which runs throughout May this year.

Former S6F student and lead singer of hard rock band The Little Angels opened the Music Department and gave a talk on his career in the music business.

This week Scarborough Sixth Form College has been celebrating the opening of a new building! The Hub, as it has been named, is a large and spacious area designed to provide students with a relaxed study space.

Welcome

The College is celebrating after record breaking success in A level, BTEC and GCSE subjects.

  • At A level almost 99% of students passed with A* to E grades and almost half of those with top grades (A* - B)
  • Similarly strong and the best ever results were achieved in AS and GCSE subjects
  • Advanced BTEC results were outstanding with most students gaining Distinctions (equivalent to grade A at A level) with a value –added score that puts the College in the top 10% nationally

S6F Examination Results 2011

Successful, supportive and friendly, S6F is an excellent stepping stone from school to independence. Choose from nearly any combination of A levels, BTECs, GCSEs or an Advanced Diploma.  But S6F is about so much more than helping you get good qualifications; it’s also about supporting you to discover and achieve your potential.  Enhance your academic and vocational courses with an X Factor choice such as sign language, Duke of Edinburgh or rugby to further boost your CV. We have a mature, informal atmosphere with plenty of student-organised events and social activities to complement your studies.

We have former students working all over the world in a wide variety of jobs ranging from Theatre Director to Architect and from Mechanical Engineer to Barrister.
